Technology, games, people.
A record of what I’ve built, and what it taught me.
I’m Chris Kempt. I’ve spent nearly three decades building companies, products and games, usually while trying to understand the people and systems behind them. The technology has changed. The difficult questions have not: why teams work, why projects fail, why people disagree and how good ideas survive contact with organisations.
Kempt & Co brings that work together. You’ll find the businesses I’ve built, the games I’ve worked on and my writing about technology, creativity, human behaviour and being human.
If something here resonates, do get in contact.

After decades of collecting observations about people, systems and the environments they adapt to, I’ve finally turned the fragments into my first book. The Hunting Party asks what happens when we stop asking which kind of person is best and start asking what different kinds of people are for.
